First, a photo session is scheduled in order to meet the subject(s) and discuss expectations for the project with the client (i.e. pose, size, time-frame, etc.).
At that time, a non-refundable deposit of one third the estimated total is required.
***Note: in certain circumstances portraits may need to be be done using pre-existing photos as reference. Professional photographs will not be used as direct reference without written consent. (Keep in mind this original piece of art will be on display and enjoyed in your home, place of work or public area for generations. Its quality and originality is of the utmost importance.)
Reference photos are selected by the artist, approved by the client and production of the portrait begins. Portraits are completed depending on the client's deadline, (at least 2 to 3 weeks for charcoal, several months for oil) and arrangements are made for pick-up or shipment of artwork from the studio, which is located at the 'Axe Factory' in Collinsville (Canton), CT. Balance is paid upon client's satisfaction of the finished artwork. Ask about framing options.
